Anyone fancy owning a Football Club

Think you've Misunderstood the 2 links. Original link could well relate to Farnborough who are as you say in debt (think the £1m has come down substantially since that included Directors Loans now cleared).

The 2nd link looks likely to be Borehamwood who - according to the link - are debt free.

I think the same principle applies to anyone who is thinking of buying any non league club for large sums of money, and even more especially a club that has no real- estate assets. Its also highly unlikely that any small football club would ever have any resale value, and any so called investor would forever be putting more and more money into the the club, and when that persons money runs out they end up being vilified by all and sundry.

You could all own a club for 50 quid

Own is a big word open for debate but you can join a society that owns a football club

You can get the cigars two blondes the jag and trilby for a day and lord it in the boardroom home or away.

You can become a fully fledged director of the club if you are insane

The main value is reading my posts of course.

Ebbsfleet united. The worlds local football club

I only pay £20 for my subs at Ashford and (as of 10th January) I am a Director too. (Question my sanity if you wish - most of my friends have at one time or another...)

Many clubs at CCL level will be members clubs (or companies limited by guarantee so without shareholders) so therefore members of those clubs effectively own them, without having to join MyFC.

Beano just one question for you.

are you mad ?

Utterly bonkers, Krooner. But then again, someone has to be... How else would all our clubs keep going? Weebs has me bang to rights... but then again, I didn't spend my Valentine's Day in Nantwich. :o

I only wish I could pump money into my club like happens elsewhere. Sadly, I can't, any more than my colleagues can. We keep going through the hard work of all concerned - including the players and supporters. In that respect, Ashford are no different to most, if not all, CCL clubs.
