I think I'm right in saying that if Paul Coyne gets a yellow card in our next 2 games he will miss the game against St Neots.

 

Worth leaving him out of the games against AFC Hayes and Daventry just in case?

I wouldn't leave him out, we need to keep winning and then play St Neots with whoever we have available, we have enough in the squad to cover for such events!

Current regulations for 10 yellows :

 

If a Player receives 10 cautions between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be

suspended for a period of 2 match suspension and be fined £15.

 

If a Player receives a set number of cautions during the qualifying period they will receive a suspension, this will

commence 21 days from the date the 5/10/15 caution was received.

It might say 21 days, but they kick in after 14 days or have done with all of the others so far.

I knew it was 14 days after an offence for most, but the FA have opened themselves up for some legal action with their own rules and regs stating 21 days.

I don't think we should be so dependant on Paul Coyne anyway.The fact that he's so instrumental to how we play is of concern, if he does get a booking,though,and would be a huge loss if he were to miss the St Neots game.

 

Perhaps we should try an alternative midfield for the AFC Hayes game to halve Paul's likelihood of a yellow card and to see a different option ie Adam Martin,Steve Perkins,Adam Logie or say Adam Logie, Adam Martin,Stuart Swift etc in the midfield,if we play the 3-5-2.

Yes, I believe that's his 11th booking this season.

I think that it does as the rule usually is. the ban (2 games for 10 yellows) starts after 2 weeks. so he will miss barton and St Neots.

Ban should start on 3rd March v Northwood, Have Barton game on Tuesday 6th, so should be those two.
