I would echo everything written in that report. I was truly impressed with the way we were treated throughout the day and if everyone is treated the same when they travel over I can't imagine anyone would/will have cause for complaint. Everything was done properly and it all felt very professional.

 

I was also very impressed with our lads on and off the pitch. Acted professionally in the build up, didn't allow the day to become a jolly and behaved themselves in the evening whilst still representing Westfield.

 

On the field we played some really good football and created a lot of good chances which was a real positive. The fitness of the Guernsey lads has been documented on here before and is a factor, but for me the quality of finishing is the real difference and the main reason we ended up 3 down. Even then we continued to try and play, never gave up and got what we deserved when pulling it back to 3-2. Guernsey then showed that extra bit of quality again when they made it 4-2 and that was really game over as it knocked the wind out of us.

 

Disappointed we didn't have that little bit more to get something from the game but am pleased with our performance which enabled our lads to have a good night out.

 

It's not likely that a club at this level will get the chance to experience this too often and am pleased that Westfield were represented well, both on and off the pitch.
