Not so much WHAT it would involve, as to WHOit would involve.

In previous incarnations, I had been known to take a day off work and prepare a really special meal for my partner and me. Usually something completely out of the ordinary and definitely something neither of us had eaten before.

I would never dream of taking my loved one out for a meal on Hallmark Day. All the restaurants would hike the prices, service would be crap, the places crowded and the quality of food really disappointing.

As for this year, there is more of a chance that we could go and watch a football match somewhere. Then again, I might just have to be a little creative in the kitchen.

I don't need one day in the year to tell the one I love how much I love them - and vice versa!!!

Now knowing what a romantic bunch you all are on here, and spending a few £'s,is never a problem. What would your ideal Valentine's Day involve, besides the Card.

I'm taking Mrs Donkey out to her favourite restaurant ( expensive ! ), well seeing i've been away watching GFC so much I've got to score some brownie points whenever I can ;)

Aldershot Town are letting ladies in for free for their valentine's day game against Hereford.

You can't get much more romantic than a pint in The Crimea followed by a quick grope and cuddle at the back of the East Bank then a glass of rosé and a cheeseburger and chips at Yates's.
