News

11th October

Hornchurch knocked the 1st XI out of the FA Cup this afternoon, winning 5-0. Though matters were not helped with Mark Costello being shown the red card halfway through the first half, there can be no argument about the final result as Hornchurch were worthy winners, and good luck to them in the next round.

this report comes from the Carshalton web site.............

Scott And Gav where both suited and booted yesterday don't know what is wrong with Gav though. I still think Jamie will get his chance again just like Lockie did (i thought J was on the bench he came on for Ollie Adedeji at centre back).

Jamie is apparantlly also an excellant Central Defender.

He was great the previous Saturday aswell. I think in just two games he has proved what a quality player he is and i hear he is one of the most dedicated in training aswell.

The guy like any player in the team is sure to have a bad match again this season but this has taught me not to jump on a players back so quickly.

Of course to critise a player isn't a crime but i think Adam deserves applause for the way he has player has played in the last two matches.

True, he does and I do applaude him for those games. But in the first 2 league games this season I didn't think he was out of form just lazy - I barely remember seeing him on the pitch! When a player is out of form I don't take jabs at him as I know it's not necessarily his fault, but when it doesn't look as though he's trying it really irritates me, particularly when you are told how good he actually is.
