I did note a lot of empty seats in the stand last week though that would have counted towards the attendance as they were all sold so I'd say there were probably 50 less than the reported figure.

If someone pays for a ticket but doesn't go they're not in attendance. Likewise, if someone is in the ground but hasn't paid they are in attendance.

 

The spaces in the stand are mainly season ticket holders who have decided to stand around the pitch because they choose to. When we get bad weather during a match ( which we haven't had yet ) the stand will be full. Theres a line of seats normally empty in front on me because they like to stand behind the goal.

Ha! I was expecting someone from Guernsey to compare themselves to Arsenal!

 

I know different clubs count the attendance in different ways. I've been to games where there have been about 50 present and seen the crowd listed as 138, I've been to games where there have been 70+ present and seen the crowd listed as 30 odd.

To my mind it's easy - however many people are in the ground is the attendance. I appreciate the difficulties Guernsey face with no turnstiles and I wouldn't expect them to do a headcount although maybe Roary could do it during his quiter moments?
