Just out of interest.

I follow Stoke cities USA affiliate club Orlando Lions have this preseason announced a new youth set up as well as a U23 development team. If you want to try out as the Yanks say this is what it will cost if you are successful.

The team is owned by Stoke City Director Phil Rawlins and managed by ex Stoke / Everton legend Adrian(inchy)Heath.

Orlando City will have teams in all age groups for the 012 USL Super Y-League season. Tryouts for the Super Y-League squads take place on Feb. 11 & 12.

Our goals for Super Y are the following: A great opportunity for our young players to have a managed and structured training environment during the summer months in order to become better players. Secondly, to compliment the training environment, a series of 10-12 matches in a National League in order to display our abilities and place as many teams as possible in the National Finals in December.

Registration Fees

Registration fees are $600 per player. Payment terms are $300 at registration to secure a spot on the team. $100 is to be collected in June, July and August to complete the $600 total fee.

Items included in the fee include coaching fee, Orlando City season ticket for player, game and training gear, all league fees(registration, team bond, nationals) and field usage.

Recruiting

No restrictions. Teams may recruit players year round. The Super Y-League is not subject to USYS State Association “poaching” laws. USSF bylaws allow for coaches of USSF member organizations to recruit year round for a player’s participation in the Super Y-League.

League months –

Games are played in June, July and August with the National Finals in December.

That was before they realised he wasn't here. No point in hat tricks when Dave's away. Invasion of moths at the ground know he's back.
