Quite possibly the most ridiculous time to have a pitch inspection,an hour after first light,may of just had it at 4pm today.

Would be surprised if we pushed for a 9am one unless the club have seen the pitch,assesed it and thought it best to just get it out the way early on.Another train of thought could be that Hastings don't fancy it,have asked the league for an early one so they can sort it before players leave etc knowing that at 9am the pitch will be as hard as it is at 3am.

Not saying either of these scenarios are correct but one might be lol.

 

It's currently 1c outside though so maybe it won't be too bad.I just think that an 11am inspection gives Hastings 2 hours to get here and the pitch a bit of time to give a little,it's supposed to get up to 4c tomorrow but not sure how early in the day.The pitch was rolled so is flat which could make the difference though

To be honest I would have thought it would be in Hastings interest to play the game tomorrow rather than playing us when we are st full strength.

Maybe it has something to do with Hastings having to pay a cancellation fee for non existant coach travel if it gets called off later.

the weather here is wierd,some cars have frost,others dont,the ground is hard but thats on my little green patch,assume the same at the ground.

Heybridge are giving their pitch a heat blast,which involves putting cars under a tarpaulin and revving the engine,it apparantly works.

I just suppose some clubs want to play more than others.
