Son's football match is on this afternoon. their pitch is wide open so gets the full benefit of the sun on it. Also I checked another piece of land at lunch time that took my key where it was grassy.

Maybe just maybe all is not lost. I guess it will be where the sun just doesnt shine (Leaves wide open for JR !)

Grass outside here has softened up nicely with the sunshine over the course of the afternoon. Certainly would have been playable. Will all depend on how much of a chill we get overnight, plus how much sunshine come daytime!

My Sunday morning game should be on, no matter what: Turns out it is being played on 3G!

Oddly enough, there was no frost on the car this morning even though it was well below freezing. My fingers crossed for everyone.

Thankfully Hayden - We don't have to worry in chilly Dorking.

Was on our pitch at 3pm & no chance....slightly better than yesterday with the sun on the pitch but still soild & in places where we couldn't repair after last weeks game very dangerous & i wouldnt want anyone to get hurt.

So i expect our res suburban game to be called off tomorrow

Just got back from a very quick stroll to the corner shop.

Where the sun has been on the front lawns, the ground would certainly take a stud and a referee would have to say 'playable'

However, as with last Tuesday, as soon as the sun drops..........................

Thankfully, with a 3pm kick off coupled with a sunset scheduled for 16:56 in Horley, who knows? And isn't the stand at Horley on the northern side of the ground so no shadow cast? I guess much will depend on how flat the surface is to start with.

Been over at Horley Ground at 2 today and it would of been playable.

I was also there at 4 that was a different story it was solid in places so it depends how cold it gets tonight and how the sun shines tomorrow.

Jury is out here, we could go either way on the edge of the potential area, depending on the behaviour of this record high pressure! "Nowcasting" is the word my amateur weatherman friend is using.

It's freezing out there now, air and ground frost tonight.

Get on the pitch and plough it up like you did last weekend and it will be alright
