Feltham v Guernsey

Recommended Posts

Tardiff for me won you that game in the last 10 minutes of the first half with two good saves! Not many chances overall in the game but who ever takes them wins...You did just that!

Very small crowd today! I believe it was just over 90 after a double and triple count, but the club made some decent money which all helps :)

May I express my gratitude and reiterate what GD has already said, what fantastic hosts Feltham FC were yesterday when they hosted Guernsey FC and their fans. On a bitterly cold day for watching football, your hospitality was very much appreciated.

The game was certainly about chances and a team's ability to turn them into goals. Your boys played very well yesterday, particularly in the first half and your centre half, Andrew Walker, the goalscorer, was my man of the match, with an outstanding performance.

Guernsey were much more clinical in the second half and got more into the rhythm that has been so productive for them this season.

99 League goals now scored by the Green Lions, who's your money on to score the 100th ?

Once again, many thanks Feltham FC and best of luck to you all for the rest of the season.

Yes he did pull off a couple of good saves in the 1st half.

I forgot to mention that I was very impressed with the Feltham bench, they showed great sportsmanship. There was quite a dangerous tackle early in the match right in front of the Feltham bench and the coach or manager gave the player an ear bashing ! ( it was the Feltham number 4 I think ? )

The Feltham bench also showed concern when Ross Allen appeared to be injured after a hard fall.

Some teams could learn a lot from these Feltham guys on how to behave on the bench.

That was Balson, the skipper. Great mate of mine and did say to him he was very lucky and should've been sent off. Totally out of character from him and just a rush of blood. He's a fantastic young defender.

As for Allen struggling from that fall, I'd have to disagree. Allen was hurt from the landing of his poor attempt at a bicycle kick haha. Had me in stitches as he was closer to connecting with his face than the ball :P

Lol I agree it was the landing from the missed bicycle kick that hurt him a bit :)
