Chris Seeby

Big loss as he has been excellent since his return and is very versatile. His strong running from midfield was helping to create lots of chances. Need to replace him with a creative player IMO

who knows what personal reasons he has for moving but it is a bit of a shock and dissapointing that he has gone. his versatility will be missed.

bit confused as St Albans site has a new report today about 2 new players neither of which are Seeby.

Sharif has joined Woking on loan also

Dave Howell has announced Chris has joined Southern Premier side St Albans.

Gutted ! Dave Howell knows a good defender.

Good job we have got Simon Sweeney back and have Steve Perkins as cover. Big blow, though.

I'm sorry but the timing of this sucks!

I've got nothing against a player showing ambition by going to a higher placed club, but why now?

We are at the the business end of the season and going for the league title and Chris Seeby decides to go to St Albans who are probably going to finish in mid-table.

Why not stay til the end of the season and help us win the league and then go back to St Albans for next season?

Perhaps Money has reared it's ugly head again.

As you can see I'm very disappointed that Chris Seeby has shown no loyalty to Slough Town and has IMO let us down big time.

Bit harsh,Reading Rebel.

It may not solely be about money. Not that I know.

It could be a personality clash with newer players/coach or that he's not guaranteed a place every time or that he lives over that direction.Obviously, though, he has an affinity with St Albans having played 150 odd games for them and will be playing at a higher level.

We got him back, which was really a huge bonus to our squad but we were doing ok before he came and as a positive; him leaving, perhaps we will have more money to strengthen in other areas, like a target man or a pacy striker/midfielder.A huge plus is the return of Simon Sweeney, too.

Shame he's going, though, as he has proved to be a class non-league defender.Never know,he may come back if things aren't so rosy there.
