I would like to say a big thank you to the father of one of the juniors who has donated lots of excellent sports books for the shop. Some really good stuff in amongst them. If you make yourself know to me i will by you a cuppa!

 

 

Thanks also for the others that have given us their old books, the little shop is doing really well and making a few quid for the club thanks to you.

 

We also have a nice collection of "books for the girls" from teenage stuff to romance etc

a reciprocal thank you from me and also to Bob Lewis for the stirling work in making every little help in the fine club shop. I have donated several books and CDs and have a few more on their way. I must admit to being surprised at the low price for the books, many of which would have cost around £10 - £20 when orginally bought. Excellent value, and maybe worth a mention in the Programme for the benefit of away fans and other non-Forumites.

 

I'll be scouring the house tonight, gathering my next modest consignment.

_{I know Keith, a pound for some of these books seems ridiculas, but thats the price at bootsales and most charity shops. Often people buy a few because of the great value. Its mostly AT people that buy them, so i look at it as a kind of rental....LOL}

 

_{Bob indeed does a great job for the club, manning the shop, selling the prog, collecting the rubbish, writting the team board and opening the tea hut on reserve games as well as selling teas on sunday mornings AND running the kits back and forth to the launderette. Unsung hero! Some people at the club should have a look at their efforts and consider whether they could do more to help.}
