The Oscars - 2012

Sjj2112 - I find those odds very difficult to believe, I'm sure Jonathan Ross or Claudia Winkleman set them as, unlike Barry Norman and Mark Kermode, they know absolutely nothing about films. Have you seen The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo out of interest.

Latest odds from Ladbrokes

Viola Davis 4/7

Meryl Streep 11/8

Michelle Williams 33/1

Glenn Close 100/1

Rooney Mara 125/1

Absolutely nailed on then, eh Rhodes?

Rhodes could put his money where his mouth is maybe? Is that what you are suggesting SJ?

Not long to go now folks until Sunday night, get your popcorn or pringles and your favourite tipple in soon, it's always the highlight of the year unlike the boring Superbowl.

I wonder what Rooney Mara will be wearing at the prestigious event due to start around about now, she could wear a black refuse sack and still look a million dollars:

I see that Rooney Mara was robbed blind last night, very disappointing, at least the film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, won the Best Film Editing gong:

This time next week you'll be crying foul, claiming she was robbed I have no doubt.

I'm amazed that any sane person is even remotely interested in this self congratulatory nonsense.

Post of the month.

Horace - I thought Meryl Streep was a poor choice and I'm surprised she was even nominated for the Oscar, Margaret Thatcher hated her portrayl of her so that should have counted for something

Well like I said Meryl Streep was nothing like Margaret Thatcher whatsoever in the film infact she was more like Michael Foot if anything, without the duffle coat

I am very very disappointed that the Nigerian film 'Dances with Bumble Bees' was not even nominated. It is a tale love, triumph, family conflict & Nigerian oil power struggles.

Ultimately it ends with the hero of the film Prince Nelson Obatunde played by eminent Nigerian actor David Ojuyare dying a slow painful death after being stung on his manhood.

Mr Rhodes, have you seen this masterpiece. They had a special showing last week at The Hackney Empire in defiance of the Academy's decision to omit it from the nominations.

This film is an abomination and just as with The Last temptation of Christ I encourage my church and all people of high quality to protest against this film and stop people entering the film theatres with placards and chanting.

The true story of He who Dances with Bumble Bees is of the triumph of Clement Temile whose manhood has always been protected by Mr Clifford Rhodes. Mr Clifford Rhodes who is a powerful man in the FA will now smite you with all his might Mr "Olafobi Bakayakadingdong" and you will find out what the stinging of a hundred thousand bumble bees on the manhood is really like. May Clement Temile himself forgive you for this perversion of promoting this piece of rubbish.
