Not there-so can't get the true flavour of what i guess was a well deserved real upbeat meeting/love in.

That given-i think i'll still sleep easier in my bed in six weeks time once the 125 year lease has been signed by all parties.

Just hope there is not a national shortage of ink between then and now.

so far-so good-just a little bit more to go to absolutely secure the all important funding then.

It's simply the rubber stamping of the 125 lease which secures the funding now.

looking really good then-well done all round.

did i read somewhere that a public notice of the leases about to be signed has to be put in the press?

not for debate/contention-but simply as a public notice/legal formality prior to signing.

not sure if that is correct anyway-but if it does have to be done that way-is there a timescale upon which it has to be run in the public domain ?

Not sure about that. It may have been part of the due Council process over the next month but the March start includes the Council process.

As someone else who couldn't be there last night, just thought I'd ask:

1) A while ago the idea of a 'hall of fame' at the new ground was mentioned on this forum. Somewhere to honour players/managers/administrators from the past. Has the club had any thoughts on this?

2) Will there be a 'glamour friendly' to launch the new ground? I guess the problem is the work will be completed mid-season which makes it harder to attract a Premier League team.

3) Any more developments on a stadium sponsor? I notice Maidstone have agreed a deal with a company for their new ground.

The sponsor TBA does not relate to the whole stadium. As for a prestigious friendly, yes, that is the idea.

First home game on easter monday 2013 against Dover in the blue square south would suffice for me;and probably get 2500 there

No it won't, take 2,000 of that figure and I may be inclined to agree with you. We want a friendly that is going to raise local peoples awareness. I've never known a friendly between 2 non-league clubs to do that
