You was nothing to do with the club when you went to watch the game...

RTFC - It was more the principle particularly as I had managed to secure the Club a lot of funding in the past, I didn't mind paying the fiver at all but that wasn't the issue

Loose I know a few people at Copthall who would really like him to pay a visit

I came to the game with Wellingborough Town in the FA Cup and was treated like something the cat had dragged in, I even paid at the ‘turnstile’ which I thought was disappointing after everything I had done for the Club, particularly recruiting Clement Temile who put the Club on the football map Worldwide.

Perhaps you haven't considered that how you have represented (slandered) Kentish Town since you left (were kicked out) has had an effect on why you have been treated like something the cat dragged in (treated as well as you deserve to be).

But then again it wouldn't occur to you (It wouldn't cross your mind because you are as thick as two short planks).

A fantastic question asked by BUFC that has been answered by Winslow Boy and so eloquently by Uncle T amongst others but as usual it’s another thread that has become a ‘rhodesathon’ and not much to do with the original question in hand. I am not knocking anyone but please can we just talk about football on this Spartan South Midlands Football League Forum.

For what’s its worth I’d take many of the people I know who knock non-league football whilst sitting in front of their TV’s watching Premier League football on Sky etc and who say non-league football is all long ball and rubbish to any SSMFL game so they can see there is life and some good stuff being played o/s of the top echelons of soccer in England.

Here's a challenge for people....try not to mention Rhodes in the next 5 posts????

Lets take it right to the top & get Sepp Blatter down to Tring Athletic - I wonder if he's ever been to a non league game to see how stupid some of his rules are at our level.

Who would we play? Leverstock Green has always been a good derby match as was Aylesbury Vale. Our games against Hertford usually produce a lot of goals

Perhaps an oil tycoon down to Elmfields gate??? On a serious note I think the posts about getting the FA down are bang on I think the powers that be need a reality check about grass roots. Also as cold end says those that knock non-league there must be so many people on a Saturday in our towns doing nothing who if thy came down tool in a game met some of te passionate people at our clubs try would have a great time.

Excellent post Barry! Thanks for pointing that out and yes we tried that just this last week and you know what? There were about two or three posts a day! So just between us and the rest of the plastic mods who want to get all righteous there's room on this forum for you to talk "just football" (where were you - "Lets be 'avin you lol) and those of us who want to be a bit "parochial" and for your info we were talking Football if you'd stopped to notice - it just may not have been the pure version you like and epitomise so well but it involved past history and current comment made on this board by the person you seem to want to support. If the club sec of a very decent club who usually holds her peace in a very dignified manner wants a conversation and to make a point or two then as we've seen this last week or so it doesn't really impact on the remaining space on a page left for you and all these other people who want to talk Football but somehow go missing after they've stamped their feet and huffed and puffed a bit lol! To talk football for just a moment it reminds me of all those people you get who want to give their opinions at clubs but then go missing when the mention of work is made, even when the Football starts they've suddenly found their lawns or their shopping or their TVs just a bit more interesting. In another sense it is very reminiscent of those great mausoleums to Football built in the North East, your Boltons, Blackburns, Wigan, Preston North Ends who built in the boom when it was Nice to talk about Football but turned away when it was hard to watch, like this forum somewhere to spend a quiet afternoon once the real Football begins. It reminds me of Creasey Park and The Copthall when some kit needs washing, it reminds me of Ickwell & Old Warden when some goal posts need setting.

Mate, you're singing to the choir, I'd love to see your principles applied to this forum for everyone and your complaint needs directing where it doesn't seem comfortable to you. Speak up a bit more when you see that someone damaging Football in the SSML. But Football isn't just that supreme inch perfect pass you film so well, it's warts and all high wide and handsome too.

Likewise I hope you don't feel you've been knocked, I enjoy all your posts, I watch all your clips. Sorry I couldn't quite not mention "him", heres to the next 5 posts.

I'd like to take my Dad to a game, we'd go to a Renhold (lovely club, lovely people) v. Caldecote or Oxhey Jets v Wodson Park and hope for another 6 nil whitewash.

Loose, well said and nicely put. I am not trying to support anyone though mate...I am independent and a neutral person....maybe I was tired at that time of night...I don't usually like a moan up.

and I can see it was talk about footy sort of..£5 to see Kentish play is a bargin in my book. Nice club, nice people and interesting ground that obviously may change if Saracens plans go through.

I would love to be able to revisit past SML clubs such as Eaton Bray United, Shefford Town, Pirton, Knebworth, Electrolux and Letchworth Garden City - always very friendly welcoming places

Isn't that what most SSML Club's charge though, I assume their 'programme' is included with the £5 if that's what you call it

You secured some funding that we could not claim as it was of no use to us whatsoever.

What about all the Jack Petchey Foundation money the Club got
