Not Combined Counties but.......

As living locally, I walked down to watch Bagshot Football club on Saturday. It was the 4th round of the Surrey Cup. A highly contested game against Cheam Village Warriors (southern eastern combination side) where bagshot ended deserved winners on a penalty shot out. After speaking to a few supporters, they involved me that they had knocked out Battersea Ironsides in the previous round who are 3rd in the Surrey Elite. They are now in the Quarter-finals against Weston Green Sports, who also are in the Surrey Elite. They seem to be performing very much above there level of club statue, and I wish them the best of luck in the journey. There is a young manager down there who seems to be achieving great things for the club and has signed a high number of quality players from local combined counties clubs. Maybe with the problems with a few managers locally and clubs maybe under achieving, they should be looking closer to home when recruiting new staff, as this young lad seems to kno his stuff.

When I say young lad, i mean considerably younger that me. Probably late 20's early 30's. He had 2 exceptional strikers down there that would walk into any combined counties club, and I noticed there was a CM and a LW that I have seen previously playing in Div 1 combined counties.

All I could get was everyone seemed to be calling him ' Tommo' ?

Bagshot shouldnt really be at the level they play at but the SIL kicked them out a few years back for poor displine i think

Thank you for you kind words AnyFootball, Saturday was a tough game, and we know the Quarters will also be as tough. We've got a very strong squad with us at the mo, which are all very close friends off mine, hence the reason they are playing at a lower level than they should be. Green fingers....do I kno you? Lol

You seem to have all the qualities of a successful manager, and most importantly all the contacts to create a really good side. I'm just wondering how long will Bagshot be able to hold on to you, cause I personally think you should be aiming to be involved at a higher level. Again.....all the best for the future.
