Why is out whenever I give my opinion or view on anything I am attacked from all angles.

 

Yes I've moaned about a ref but so have hundreds of others on here and do they get the treatment I've had no.

 

Yes I am biassed ! Of course I am and so is everyone else towards their team.

 

Like I have said before if you see me at an away game come over for a chat and you will see I'm not the **** people are making me out to be.

 

I've put Saturday behind me. I've made mistakes by what I've said about the ref and I won't make the same mistake again.

 

I know being a ref is a tough job and I applaud all you refs who read this

 

All refs have my respect and all have off days, they are only human after all

It's all part of football GD.

 

The officials made some interesting calls for both teams and obviously those watching will generally remember the 'bad' decisions against there own team. Channel TV have emailed me saying that the highlights will be online from 7pm tonight, so hopefully they will have captured a few of the decisions that have been subject to much discussion on this message board and twitter.

 

Apologies for not saying hello after the game. I had quite a few people to talk to and only found out you were in the bar after we got back to the hotel.

 

Good luck against Egham tomorrow night.

GD: No-one is doubting your passion and yes we all moan about match officials, Every league suffers them and I myself have had two occasions that I have submitted reports regarding poor referees, and just to balance things I have also submitted reports praising match officials.

 

IMO I think what angered most people was your leaning to the view that the referee was to blame for your unexpected home defeat, the referee was the same for both clubs and he was not wearing a Guernsey shirt (nor an Eversley shirt). Reading the views from both clubs I get the opinion that your opponents had a game plan that your club were unable to adjust to thus on the day the result went against you. Trust me you will see games where your club plays badly yet still wins, that's the beauty of this game we all love.

 

Your club has been a credit to you and the following it has achieved, promotion is only a matter of weeks away, enjoy the good times and accept the odd bad days.

On the subject of the referee I did point out that he gave a number of bizarre decisions against both teams, but like most people I will of course only remember in detail the ones against my team. But I did say he was very poor. I also congratulated Eversley FC.

As hinted at by GreenLion it's probably your posting quantity and rather vociferious style that has had some commenting gleefully on the defeat. Your comments about the ref just made things worse. If someone like say maisiecat had made the same comments then we probably would have let her off!
