New and old

With all the publicity around the club over the past week, it was good to see a number of new faces, and a few old faces coming to the match yesterday. For the last couple of matches the attendances have improved, and unlike in the past, the team have put in good perfomances each time encouraging people to come back. Just out of interest over the last 3 games we have attracted 1318 supporters, with an average of 439 per match. Over the same period last year we attracted 726 over 3 games with an average of 242. Thats an increase of 200 supporters per match on last year.

Interesting post MS.

Thought the turn out on saturday was really good (feel guilty for not being there !!)

Only 9th in the attendance league however.

Must have a chance of getting into an attendance play-off place just the same and target a season average of 400+

No doubt wellsie will chastise me for not using the official site for these stats-but some of the stats are a few too many clicks to reach.

Agree as well MS-better faciloities will on its own increase the attendance;but biggest factor will always be a winning team

Very true. Crowds will return with positive on field results. I have put the team down in the past for doing just that, failing to impress a decent crowd. Well now no-one,even I can say they aren't doing it on the pitch right now. Well done everyone who is giving us good results by showing the determination & will to win that they have been showing of late.

Unless someone has a real valid excuse there should be no reason why the crowd shouldn't continue to increase, again & again. If we dogo through a sticky patch again as could happen I for one won't be so quick to berate the team because lately they have put in a lot of effort on our behalves impressed me loads.

People returning now should CONTINUE to come if this occurs and await more of what is being shown at this moment in time because we would overcome such a sticky patch if it were to occur. But we dont want to go there do we?

Due to work kids etc etc excuses excuses I think I fall into the fair weather supporter of margate... Always followed em off the pitch and my 6 year plays in the youth side... But end of last and this season something has changed and we have been to more games, 7 this year, I think that the club has realised ( like most things ) that kids = money... Tickets alone if my lad wants to go it's two for one as I have to come with him, 2 x cans Of coke 2 x burgers etc... But and I think that as my boy has a link via the youth side we'll continue to come... But for families dads mums supporters everyone the one thing that matters is performance if the team wins the crowds will come... The top teams always have biggest crowds, provide facilities clean toilets, bar, etc ( and plan for new stadium look great) and crowds will come like they 10 year ago... Sum it up from a "fair weatherer" the recent performances have got people interested and caught imagination.... They will start following these upcoming away games on the excellent website and then hopefully for teat of this season 400+ is the norm....

I didn't realise I had badgered on this much, it's like England really we don't mind going out in the second round of the world cup as long as the team puts effort passion in... And that is what I see from CK, the board and most of all the players at the moment

and there is always herne bay who are doing well in both league (looks like they are finally destined for ryman ) and vase .

That all poses a bit of a problem as you will thus always have 2 within 6 miles of each other at least clashing on sat/tuesdays .

Alan, can u see in my above posts where I have mentioned pagey? He is a very sensitive fellow or maybe he just feels guilty about something but he comes across as being very aggressive.

I would punch you in the face but it already looks like you have been hit there plenty of times already

You 2 need to get a room. On the other hand you both share your wives when the other 1 is out.
