Do we really have to arrange the Margate game for Valentines day.

Surely we risk having possibly our smallest home gate of the season to watch as many (apart from jordan) will be pressured into taking our doris' out.

Obviously i will be at the game but i can see others not being so lucky,tbh i hope someone looks at this and realises we stand to lose out.

is awkward night. would like to go out, but then don't want to miss the game and lose out on the season ticket as its a home game!!

Couldn't the club house offer a meal deal with a bottle of wine or something like that. Try to attract the couples. Maybe a £20 a head 2 course meal and entrance fee for the game

Agree that having the game on Valentines day is daft - I am not sure what I will be doing

 

Plus West Ham (1st) are at home to Southampton (2nd) so I would expect our crowd to be v small

the meal is a good idea but would leave no space in the clubhouse imo

maybe we could offer free entry to spouses for the night and get colin dressed up as elvis to woo the ladies???

Re the meal idea

 

It would be interesting to see how many people would be brave enough to suggest this to their other half (remembering that there is a thin line between bravery and stupidity)

 

Nicky is in to the footie at Hornchurch but would not be impressed if this was her Valentines meal treat

 

Idea to charge a lower entry fee to spouses is good but personally cant see that this would sway people either (might just serve to reduce revenue)

 

IMO if this is to remain the date you just have to accept an even lower attendance

Alice told me to "fck right off" when I mentioned it to her.Alas I won't be going to football that night anyway as I forgot I booked to take a couple up London for valentines day as we didn't have any footy that day lol

Margate should bring a fairly large group of fans so I wouldn't have thought the attendance would be lower than 150.
