WITH finance and non payment of bills being in the news. i was wondering, without players wages, what it costs to run a ccl club. for a season.

my thoughts were what it costs to get a team playing ie league fees,ground costs, rates,lighting, refs, pitch maintance. all things it takes to get a game on. cant see how many, at this level even survive. with the 2 figures that have been put forward.

I have often wondered the same thing, for fear of a lot of these clubs going out of business.

Probably ok with a rich benefactor or a clubhouse that is open 7 days a week but for some teams neither of those is an option.

Also depends who owns the ground. Rents vary massively. I used to look after the accounts of several non league clubs and a couple of league clubs too. The range in rent was huge to the point that one was 4 times another in the same league.

The Officials alone must be in the region of £3k,affiliation and Cup Fees-£1k,Groundhire between £1k and £5k,so need home crowds of minimum 60 people @ £6 to break even,at the upper level.
