WHITLEY BAY v SOUTH PARK F.A VASE 4th Round

Massively looking forward to the game saturday. After seeing Whitley Bay play a couple of weeks ago i definetely believe Park can nick a win!

Hello all South Park fans and fellow CCL supporters. Greetings from freezing Whitley Bay!!

It's just as well the game's not scheduled for tonight as the pitch is frozen solid. We've had sub zero temperatures since Saturday. The forecast is better for this weekend though.

Good to hear you were watching us a couple of weeks ago, (at Shildon or Dunston I presume?) as we had several players out and the gale force winds hardly helped.

We've been watching you as well and know you're a decent side.

Obviously with our recent Vase record we're the favourites but will be taking nothing for granted. Chertsey gave us a tremendous couple of games two years ago and if you play as well as they did then we're in for a real battle.

I see you're in decent form at the moment. We're unbeaten in our last ten games though to be honest we've not played consistently well.

I'm fairly optimistic that with 600+ fans behind us, the magic of the Vase and our experience of the big game atmosphere will see us through to the last 16, but I guess you'll have other ideas.

If you're coming up, the Seahorse clubhouse will be open from midday with the Norwich v Chelsea game on in the bar. I guess you'll find the beer a bit cheaper up here :D . We've a legendary supply of pies, pasties, sausage rolls etc as well as a variety of club souvenirs and there's also our programme shop which is well worth a visit before the game.

Enjoy your weekend in the north east (apart from the result of course!!)

Well there's one thing I can guarantee, our pitch will be better than the pudding of a surface at Shildon!

We certainly couldn't play our normal game in those conditions and I feel a bit sorry for Shildon as they have to put up with it every week.

The best part of that day was the chip shop round the corner - fantastic size portions. :)

Unfortunately our nearest chippy is about half a mile away in Monkseaton.

Don't know if it's still there, but there used to be a fantastic fish 'n chip shop near to the ground.

Mind you - That was a few years ago now !
