Anyone at a loose end tonight wanting to watch abit of football get down Cove football club 7:45pm KO

 

Mole Valley SCR Reserves vs Carshalton Athletic Reserves

 

Burger / tea bar will be open which is always a winner at Cove. Both teams playing mixtures of ressies, youth and trialists.

Westfield v Wood abandoned after 15 minutes due to a frozen pitch!

Game should not have started and it cost us £90 in officials fees which we will have to pay AGAIN next Monday for which date the game has been re-arranged.

MADNESS!!!!

So a youth away game will cost us £180. No wonder youth football is struggling!

I REPEAT, MADNESS!!!!!

Not my call but I would have withdrawn from the tie tonight!

Mole Valley Ressies 3 Carshalton Athletic XI 0.

 

Pitch was very frosty by the end and we cut it short to 40 mins each way to be safe. We also kicked off at 7:15pm knowing that would likely be the case. Obviously friendlies arnt about winning but very happy with our performance today, tried to play football and good movement off the ball.

Carshalton had a very young side but they are an academy side so to be able to compete with them is great for us.

 

Cheers to them for the game and the officials for being very accomodating.
