smellynuts
Always nice to see a fellow South Midlands league team doing well in the Vase so I wish both teams all the best on behalf of AFC Dunstable, I predict you will both go thru with narrow 1 nil wins. Particularly wish Royston all the best for selfish reasons, if they get distrated by the Vase run they may slip up and hand us the title, wouldnt be a bad achievement either, being our first season in the Prem! Go for it Ampthill, you have all of the South Midlands behind you!
bicknell
Thank you mate and we couldn't be more ready for this game
krafty
Gutted, frustrated and heartbroken. Royston did not play well enough on the day. Difficult wind to cope with. They are probably more used to it blowing every week. I wish the "poppies" well in their progression in the vase. We can concentrate on league matters now. ;0 ) Hard luck and commiseration's go out to Ampthill players, staff and followers also.
Rhodes
Krafty - Yes, I think we all fully expected Royston to get through fairly comfotably particularly after such a meticulous preperation so it was quite a disappointing result
rtfc
Obvious penalty not given in last few minutes of the game. A bournemouth player stopping the ball crossing the line. Proof? Check photo 313 and then 314 taken consecutively. Ball ehading over the line and stopped by the skippers hand. http://rtfc.smugmug.com/RoystonTownFC/Bournemouth-FC/21139884_LTtfww#!i=1684284802&k=WMPcJp6 Does not take away from the fact that Royston was no where near their best though. ref off ref
RTFC.....and officials wonder why they sometimes come in for criticism? Like yourselves we didn't play as well as we could have, but with some 25 minutes to go, the wind now at our backs the Oadby centre back puts in a nasty two footed challenge, know its not a way to try and win a game but we all need a little luck sometimes, against 10 men we'd have fancied our chances but the Ref only produced a yellow...I believe he later said these incidents only get punished in the Premier League, make that one out
Rhodes
RTFC - If it's any consolation I expect you've seen the draw for the Fifth Round of the FA Vase and I'm sure Royston wouldn't have particularly fancied a trip to Billingham Synthonia: Tividale v Peterborough Northern Star Shortwood United v Ashington Staveley MW v Oadby Town Billingham Synthonia or Runcorn Town v Bournemouth Wisbech Town or Dunston UTS v Bethnal Green United Whitley Bay v West Auckland Town St Ives Town v Gresley or Three Bridges Herne Bay v Larkhall Athletic
