After speaking to my "source" he says that he played the other day,having not signed anything,played a blinder,won a penalty etc. They are trying to or have signed him up for the season.

Judging by the way some people on here worshipped him surely Dartford just need him and noone else to secure the league title.

He'll do okay at Dartford if he manages to stay clear of the agricultural challenges flying his way.

He was a favourite of many people because he played entertaining football and could cross a mean ball. On his day Tosty could skin anyone down the right flank. Unfortunately, especially after the Irish affair, those days became fewer and farther between. From what I saw pre-season, I saw a man with huge talent struggling to find his feet again and whose fitness had all but deserted him. Bloody shame. I liked him, still do, and I don't care who knows it.

He was an exciting player and was definatly one of my favorites. He made things happen (usually when he came on as a sub). I will never forget his cheeky backheeled goal against Morecambe!

On his day he was brilliant, it just didn't happen consistantly, seems Dartford signed him after he played one blinder.

Shame. Player with some good talent and potential. He just seemed to not be able to perform for us from about September/October onwards last season. Perhaps he'll re-find his form at Dartford and make his way back to the Conference.

He turned the Canvey left back so many times they had to unscrew him to get out of the ground.

Football is all about confidence, and perhaps he lost a bit of that. Interesting to hear Andy Ford say that we play better away, and it could be down to the players being more relaxed. I think that's probably the case especially with some of the younger ones. It could well affect their confidence when the crowd gets on their back, when maybe things aren't going their way.

Hit the proverbial nail 100% on the head with that, mate. Must admit, the crowd did keep the encouragement going fairly well on Tuesday even when we were fighting a lost cause.

 

Something I did find amusing on Saturday,though, when we were 1-0 up, was the chap in front of me singing, tongue in cheek, 'Ford Out!' and 'I'm Gravesend 'till we lose!!' Hmm, irony is not lost in NW Kent!

I think that also living in the holy city and not having own transport , contributes to where Tostel is playing now. ( as well as his indiscipline !! )

 

A great entertainer , a charming man, a half decent footballer, and an adopted Swanscomber. He gave us hope and encouragement when we made the step up up to the conference last year, and added a few onto the gate as well..

I liked him so much I sponsored him!!! Just as well I didn't do it this season.....and he can't 'arf knock back the Budweiser, especially if you're buying, so if you see him in a Swanscombe local don't let him recognise you!!! He'll skint you out!!
