just a thought, maybe we should/could start a petition to get sky to show more conference games, preferably gravesend games. we've got a good enough arguement, i dont see why it wouldnt be worth a try.

I don't think we can facilitate a Sky broadcast. Where would they put the cameras? Who is going to watch a game from a camera at pitch level?

point taken, but still. when we're playing away at bigger stadiums they could show those games. the problem is that sky only ever show conference games when the top few teams play each other.

Make a scaffolding platform like they did when Team Bath played last year in the F.A cup!!

Let the presenters sit at pitch level like they did at a previous conference game(might of been Chester at home on a Monday night) when a think it was Rob McCaffery(could be wrong about the presenter)presenting the game. They sat, left hand side of the main stand about 2 yards from the touch line.

Anyway they could use a crane to put a camera on from the main road,let's hope it's not windy!

And whats the problem with that?

We would get on Sky for one of four reasons:

 

1. We were challenging for the title and were playing against a club with a big name manager

 

2. We had a big name manager who used to play in the Premiership

 

3. We used to be in the league and therefore, in the eyes of Sky, are a big club in the conference

 

4. We came from Chester, Dagenham or Exeter!

Exactly, but we've got just as much right to see our team on the tv as other teams do. Even if we dont fit those criteria.

No worries, we will soon be on National TV when we reach the third round of the FA Cup playing Chelsea at Stonebridge Road!.

I may have misunderstood, but I believe Sky had looked at all the conference stadiums and if they came to Stonebridge Road they would use a " Cherry Picker " ie a platform on a crane arm.

But dont quote on this.

You have missunderstood...what Sky actually said was that they "cherry picked" the matches to be shown and they would only come to Stonebridge road if Woking start groung sharing with us.

I can understand Hereford and Exeter being on SKY, but why have Dagenham in 15th position been on twice? Where's the justice in that?

They are the glory boys of this league - should have been promoted - werent promoted - lost in play offs - manager and alleged racism! the list goes on! FA cup runs every year!

 

Although the matches that are picked is still unfair in my view, us vs Morecambe at home any day would be a great game!

 

We will NEVER get on tv with attendences below 2000 though.......
