Am I the only one who thinks we can get something?

Yes we are without our leading scorer but like the old saying one man don't make a team.

Obviously Grimsby will be on a high..they are obviously on a roll and will be going in to the game brimming with confidence....and to them we are an unknown quantity....we know we can more then hold our own vs connie south teams so why not do one better? reading on their forum apprently they will pass us off the pitch as we are a bunch of lower league cloggers (I don't blame them for this judgement as obviously it is stereotypical) ....but if that's what they have been told then there in for a surprise as if that pitch is remotely decent we will give as good as we get in the passing stakes.The key is obviously gonna be the battle in midfield I believe they have 2/3 midfielders cuptied/injured from midfield?....and if our midfield is on its game then who knows?

 

There are 39 places in the leagues between us and them....I genuinely believe it will look less then that on the day.....

But at the end of the day, given that there is a two league difference, they play with full time players, we have part time players who have full time jobs such as a city worker or fireman for example.

 

I just think it will be the fitness that wins it on the day and Grimsby are on a hell or a run.

I reckon we could sneak a result, i think you right kimble about the pitch and im guessing it will be a good surface, and will be able to play a passing game and try to dominate. To be honest even if they batter us and we nic a one nil surely we will be happy, im sure colin will. Jimmy mentioned winning the trophy on the FA website and to do that we will need to nic the odd game, same goes for the league, which we have done, but i think aslong as we play well and give a good account of ourselves we will be happy. Nothing worse that coming away dissapointed with the performance.

We need to play our 'A' game, get Jon on the ball, defend to our usual high standard and take our chances.

 

Personally I have a feeling that we might get a draw - which in itself will be a fantastic result.

 

Whatever happens I will be very proud of our club and what we are achieving this season.

To be honest,it's a bit presumptuous of us to be talking about a replay,especially as we are away first to a conference side who are on a nice run of form at the moment.For what its worth,I would expect maybe 3-500 away fans should there be a replay
