Lammas 5-2 Walton and

A good couple of wins for us after a disastrous December, Tony Hadley and Ray Randall returned for the Lammas which bolstered up the team. Lammas started brightly a grabbed a goal threw Steve Willmore. With a lively Hadley and Gary James up front Lammas soon doubled their lead on half time after a great strike threw Gary James who grabbed his 28th of the season. A Walton player was then sent off for calling the linesman a [censored] c****!!. Second half Lammas stepped it up a gear and went 3 up when Gary James was one on one then lobbed the ball over the keepers head to control it and roll it into the net for his 29th of the season. The 4th goal was the goal of the game when Redrup and Rideout linked up well for Redrup to cross to find the head of Ben Jacob. Jacob then doubled his tally from good work by Hadley who rolled in Jacob to grab the 5th. Then Walton went down to 9 men when a clash of heads between Redrup and a Walton player left the Walton defenders head gushing with blood and having to leave the gam with all 3subs being used. With 9 men Walton made a late surge with 2 goals. Lammas hoped and should of got a clean sheet which was disappointing. Lammas now into their 3rd semi final!

Indeed. :o

Yet in the CCL I've heard players get away with using that particular combination of words to linos and refs. Not often, but it happens.

The Surrey Premier Cup has changed in the past couple of years. It used to always be won by a Suburban League side. Last season South Park were the first 'first team' to win it since 1999. This year Ash United are the only reserve side left in it. They've got Old Wilsonians (who are a decent side - beat our reserves) in the last quarter final on Tuesday. Lammas play the winners of that. The other semi is between Cobham and Dorking Wanderers. Looks like step 6 football is getting stronger locally.

First half only, yeah. Did you manage to keep all 11 on? Things were getting feisty between the ref and Dias!
