For those travelling by COACH:-

The Coach and Minibus will leave at 8am,no later.

If you are Struggling,ring me on 07531 088777

Please can you get to the ground by 7.45am and meet in the CAR PARK

There are currently 3 spaces left on the Coach/Minibus,contact me if you want them

 

For those travelling by train

The 8.30am train from Kings Cross.Some Supporters are meeting at 6.30 for the 6.46am train from Upminster,which goes to Liverpool Street i am reliably informed.From there we can get the circle/metropolitan line to Kings Cross.Anyone meeting there can call me on above number to find out where the masses are.I should imagine we will be there before 8 so will probably loiter around the food outlets

 

For those getting the earlier or later trains,maybe someone who is travelling on them can post details.

 

Arriving in Grimsby (Cleethorpes)

The 8.30am train gets in at 11.56am,which means we shall be downing our first pint (in a glass) by Midday

For those driving up or staying up there,we will be meeting in the Station Bar at Cleethorpes Station.

The Coach will be arriving about 1-1.30pm (as will the later train) and i believe that most of the passengers want to get off at the Station.We will wait for them at the Station Bar before moving on to another pub or the Ground via a chippy.

Any later and you risk missing the train as anyone who trusts london underground is an idiot,especially on a saturday morning.Miss your train and they wont let you get the next one unless you stump up 70 odd quid

I'll be getting to Kings X for about 8-8:15

 

No engineering works on Circle or Hammersmith and city according to Tfl.

 

Unsure if there are any on national rail yet. Trains are generally always ok that time in the morning on a Saturday.

 

If there are no engineering works on liv st line there is a quick train at 06:46. I'll check to see if there is one at 07:16 as that would still leave plenty of time at Kings x.

 

Who else has the hour layover in Retford?

Retford??? Are you sure. There are no direct trains from here to Retford. What time train is that?

My apologies. Just looked into it and there is a Northern Rail service to Sheffield that goes all around the houses via Retford. You could have got the 18:26 from Cleethorpes though which is only a 15 minute wait at Doncaster. I reckon that train to Retford will be an old 1 carriage boneshaker.

Diz/R, where did you get the 6:46 and 7:16 times from? National Rail says the trains leave Upminster at 6:55 and 7:25, arriving at 7:26 and 7:56.

 

Also why did we choose the 6:36 rather than 6:26 train back? Price?

As for the times,that's what someone told me last night.

If everyone gets to the station by 6.40 then we can get the 6.46 if there is one or the 6.55,it's really not a problem.If you go any later you really do risk missing your train

You'll get a nice tour around rural Lincolnshire on that train back, a shame it will be dark.

There's a new found optimism around the club at the minute after our 5th successive league win at Cambridge last night. I would have originally thought there would only be around 1500 there on Saturday but I'd now say there should be in excess of 2000.
