Cobham 2-1 AFC Wimbledon Reserves (Surrey Premier Cup)

 

Cobham advance to the semis ahead of last year's finalists in a fairly even game where both keepers had a quiet evening. The match was livened up by a keystone cops moment where the ball was pinging about all over the place in the Dons box and Cobham could not get the ball in the net despite several attempts. Eventually the ref whistled for a free kick following a back pass from about a yard out.

Was it the same AFC Wimbledon side that played Guernsey in a pre-season friendly?

It was a very young side, as in the Warlingham game. Our website is next to useless for ressies info (nearly as bad as Cobham's!), so difficult to tell with any accuracy. However looking at Guernsey's match report I see the likes of Jack Turner, Brendan Kiernan & Jerson Dos Santos played so a stronger side then.
