Great news for managers

Recommended Posts

If you have players out banned or injured or for what ever reason just ring up on match day and say you can't put a side out and you can play it another day . Is this true people ?

It will cost you £250 for the privalage.

I honestly believed you had sense, such a posting shows different. Yes you are upset that Amersham failed to field a side and the SSML will take the appropriate actions. They are not the first club to fail to fulfil a fixture and they certainly won't be the last.

Has anybody actually taken the trouble to find out why they were unable to field a side, for all we know it could be illness within the club, injuries, who knows each case is different.

I suggest you quit complaining and allow the SSML officials to do the job they were elected for.

No-one doubt's your club's great achievements this campaign and I'm sure many here will join me in wishing you and your club every future success this season.

KB who are you to suggest whether someone quits complaining or not, this is a forum and within reason people can put what they wish.

You do a great job with your results and information but you don't run this site, comprehendo?

Think you'll also find it was a question being asked too, irrespective of the content or nature, it was a simple enough question that was asked in the first place.

It's yourself KB that's accused Craig of complaining, slander that, hope PTG uses his contacts to have you fined accordingly

£500 if you've got a reserve team fixture as well!

ROR - I honestly had Craig's best interests at heart. In view of his comments earlier in the season that led to him being fined coupled with his posting in the 7th January thread

So any game I can't field my strongest side I could just call it off until everyone is fit . sound I will have to remember that one .

He might well have been joking when he posted it but the powers to be have long memories, they do read these forums.

As for any slander you feel I have committed then I await contact from his lawyers, should he wish my address to pass on to his legal people then it is easily found in the SSML Handbook but just in case it's :-

15a Kilnwick Close

Pocklington

York

YO42 2PR

Of course should I be found guilty of slander I will resign my position from Welwyn Garden City FC as I do not wish to bring my club into disrepute

i was only asking a question . e.g last game of season we need to win to get promotion i have 6 players out what do i do play may win may lose . or just take the £250 fine and play it when players are ready .

Lets not talk about needing to win last game of season to gain promotion, bit of a sore point lol :)

Trying to pull a fast one may result in more than just a fine.

Rule 8.6

Where a match has been postponed for any reason, the Competition (Fixture) Secretary shall determine the new date.

Any Club without just cause to fulfil an engagement to play a Competition match on the appointed date shall for each offence be liable to expulsion from the Competition and/or such other disciplinary action the Board may determine, including the deduction of up to a maximum of three points from the offending Club's record, any expenses incurred by their opponents, and a fine in accordance with the Fine Tariff.

In the event of a Club being in breach of the previous paragraph of this Rule then the Board may award points to the Club not at fault as if the match had been played and the League table shall reflect the position as if the match had been played with the result awarded by the Board.
