More sad news folks, the host of iconic game show Blockbusters, Bob Holness, has died aged 83, RIP:

Well, I'm surprised and disappointed, I thought every member would have paid a tribute to the great Bob Holness by now particularly Loosely.

Rumour had it that Bob played the iconic sax solo on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street, he didn't of course but happily played up to the rumour when asked, this arose after he once asked a contestant 'which B is a street immortalised by Gerry Rafferty' then quipped 'great sax solo'.

Beleaguered Labour leader Ed Miliband's gaffe, whereby a supposed tribute to Bob Holness on his Twitter account read ‘sad to hear that Bob Holness has died, a generation will remember him fondly from Blackbusters’ was unforgiveable, the message was later removed and replaced with the correct spelling of the iconic game show but not before the damage had been done:
