Be nice if Glenn Garner is surplus to requirements now ! Though doubt it,as he appears to be captain there [well was in the last game].

Have appointed Gary Haylock as their new manager. He was previously full-time Manager at Hayes and Yeading and Farnborough FC before being given the heave-ho by those clubs.

Wasn't given heave-ho by Hayes and Yeading, did an amazing job there to take them to the Conference National, Farnborough is a different story and perhaps he regrets leaving H&Y for them. Re Glenn Garner, was told by the man himself on Saturday that he'd turned down 2 offers from Slough now, and very generous offers they were too, to stay at the club.

Like I said before, players would rather play first team football near the foot of the table rather than be a squad player near the top. It won't be easy to bring someone in.

I'm personally glad we haven't signed a player that seems to lack any sort of ambition, is clearly happy to stay at a club that is currently struggling near the foot of the table, where he is virtually guaranteed a place every week, playing in front of an average attendance of 89.

IMO we only want players at Slough who are hungry for success and want to play for the club.

RR that's a bit harsh and arrogant IMO! Nothing wrong with players being loyal and what's crowd size got to do with anything.

Your probably right BR, I suppose not everyone wants to make the most of their ability.

On the point of crowd size, what would most players like to play in front of Bedfont's support or Slough's?

Totally out of order. Players do have more to their life than playing football. For all you know there is probably more than a footballing decision as to why he wants to stay at Bedfont.

Yep, your right Tom and BR.

Can I appologise and re-phrase what I said because, in hindsight, it does come across as harsh and unfair when the full facts are not known:

I'm not too concerned that Glen Garner has decided, for whatever reason, to turn Slough down and remain loyal to Bedfont in their fight to turn their season around. In today's 'money is everything' world that we live in, it should, in fact be applauded when a player turns down a seemingly better offer to stay at his current club.

I hope this 'grovelling' appology suffices.
