NOooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Like most-i think the player needs (and deserves ) the opportunity, and the club needs and deserves the money (as long as there is plenty of it)

Anything could happen-so both need to take advantage now.

As CK state in his interview with wellsie-others can score goals and go some way to taking his place;and hopefully some funding would help further stabilise and support the club and a championship winning ryman side in 2012/13.

It also possibly makes CK's recruitment task a bit easier ,as other see the likes of appiah progressing whislt at MFC and the club nuturing them and helping them step back up.

Take the money !!

You're spot on Michael.

CK has been very consistent and made no secret of Kwesi's ambition to have another go in the football league. And if that is what happens, it will work in the club's favour in the long run from a financial and reputational pont of view. The reality is that there isn't a single club in our (or any division) that wouldn't sell a particular player if the right offer came in.

Kwesi is on a contract which also protects the club's interests in the player. In the meantime, the club will guage if when any offer is received, it is acceptable or not.

50k for a striker at a ryman prem club.

I would be surprised if you got half of that.No doubt the lad is a good striker but I wouldn't expect him to go for more than 15k.Big step up to league football and unless you get a really stupid owner/manager who will pay stupid money on a massive gamble then you ain't getting big bucks, sorry to spoil your dreams but it don't happen too often. You may be lucky with add ons should he be sold on but that's all you will probably have to look forward to financially.Hope I am wrong for your sake, have seen him play and while he looks decent, heisnot going to propel suddenly into premier league football like smalling has.

Inclined to agree with the above post.

Two months ago i would have ventured £10K.

Today-i think £20k (plus all important sell ons ) is realistic.-but hope the club can get alot more.

That given-when you read that Fleetwoods Vardy may be going for one million (i've seen him and nowt special)-albeit he is at two levels higher against better conference defenders-you wonder what the best bet is-Vardy at £1m or Kwesi at say £25K !!

What is quite interesting is that until this sky news report;Kwesi has largely been off the radar.

Indeed-just this weekend the NLP ran a feature of 20 non league players to watch -and kwesi did not feature.

Maybe the publicity needs to snowball a bit to help raise the asking price.

Another question-if scouts are watching kwesi- are there other Margate players catching the eye?

Is Curtis attracting attention for example.

Am i bid £50K the pair ?

With attendances around the 300 mark-most faces in the crowd are fairly familiar and recognisable.

with that in mind-has anyone particularly noticed this 'flock of league scouts' queueing up at HDP to watch Kwesi ?

When I peered into the Club House through the window, I saw this hideous 'orrible man just staring at me. And get this when I moved any part of my body he tried to mimic me. But when I went into Club House to find him he had disappeared, only to show up again when I later looked in through the window.....Explain that then...

As regards fees for non-league players, Jermaine Beckford is reputed to have left Wealdstone for Leeds for £65,000, Steve Morison went from Stevenage to Millwall for £130,000. Peterborough signed Aaron McLean (£150k), George Boyd (£260k) and Craig Mackail-Smith (undisclosed but reputed to be six figures). I expect it will be undisclosed in any case.

more than likely, with the exception of beckford though all the players you have named have gone from conference clubs.

If a club like leeds come in it could push the price up but in all honesty the money isnt there at those sorts of clubs at the moment.

Its a big step up from conference football to league one where beckford went and strikers are found out quicker than other players.

Burchall from Dover (1 division above us) to Gillingham was reportedly a significant fee.

I notice the Smalling situation is often raised when talking about meteoric rises from non-league. If we're all honest, none of us ever saw Smalling and thought "Oh, he'll definitely be playing for England in a couple of years' time". Kwesi is a very decent player. With the right guidance, and a little bit of luck along the way - although I'm not suggesting he's international class - he could prove a hit in a much higher division. None of us would begrudge him his chance, I'd imagine.

Yes but they have not all been watching Margate players.
