End of Season Prediction

Cookham, that's what I thought too, and I am fairly certain Lloyd Owusu ended the game playing in goal for us but I can't find it in his player database details. Maybe the memory is starting to fade now. Although 97/98 was my last season before I headed off to Uni for three years and I spent the entire time boring all my mates with stories of that season (so I thought I remembered it well) - the Cardiff cup games and Southport away in particular being a hot topic! I remember also having a run in with a load of Aldershot supporters back when they were still in non-league.

 

We were talking about the Conference behind the goal and in the last 15 years it has changed beyond all recognition. It is now more or less a professional league and is made up of some huge clubs. You'd like to think our natural fit has to be Conference South level but the priority has to be getting out of this league, stabilising at the next level up and getting our ground sorted.

 

Hopefully the first of those will happen this season with it being third time lucky - I just hope we can do it by winning the league and avoiding the play-offs - we've put ourselves in a great position. We as supporters need to make sure we do our bit and back the boys on the pitch to do the business. COYR

Brazil & Abbott scored Martin! I remember Owusu going in goal but think that was in the replay against Boreham Wood!
