End of Season Prediction

HP9

Recommended Posts

I'm perplexed by the initial post by HP9 to be honest, we have 18 games to play, St Neot's 20, neither of us may end up winning it... Too much football to play, we're in a great position and it is in our hands! When you consider St. Neot's have already lost 5 matches, they can probably only afford to lose 1 or 2 more matches!

I'd think we (St Neots) need to win at Bedworth Saturday and beat you lot in March to stand any chance of winning it. St Neots would have 9 league fixtures between boxing day and the end of Jan, plus a cup match against local rivals St Ives Town. Looking at points per game so far, I reckon if we got 21 from from the nine games in this time we'd be in touch still come end of Jan. Like you we were 9 points from 3 games over the festive period. My prediction is that it's between Slough and St Neots going right to the wire. Bedworth, Sycob, Uxbridge making up the playoffs.

it is early for predictions i suppose but it does seem it will probably be Slough St Neots Beaconsfield and Bedworth going for the title

promotion either league win or playoffs for Slough i fear is almost a must this season for our club. if we dont go up i fear we will lose quite a few of the playing squad and even Steve Bateman before next season

IMO Bedworth and Slough are the best two teams( other than St Neots),On the day, St neots have been well beat by both teams. I'm sure the Top 3 teams at the end of the season will be Slough/St Neots/Bedworth but not sure what order.who knows.

If St Neots lose at Bedworth this week,It will be incredibly difficult for us to make up the points difference. However if we win, then its all to play for.

I'm personally just more then happy to not be watching us play in the UCL.

Who knows. I think it was about this time last season when Daventry went on a 17 game winning streak and went from mid table to definite play off position.

And would have been almost definite promotion had they not had points docked.

it's basically best defence v best goal scoring record.

A few days a go this would have been St Neots v St Neots

Not if it were based on games played Manimal!

We have had the best defensive record for some time now based on the stats, 50% clean sheet ratio etc!

I tend to base defensive records on goals against total in the league table ;)
