Hornchurch 3-0 Lowestoft

Not being able to get to Bury I went to Bridge Road to watch both our rivals.

For a top of the table clash it was a disappointing crowd and being played in the athletic stadium it lacked atmosphere. Lowestoft started brightly and missed a couple of opportunities when against the run of play Hornchurch were awarded a penalty from the most blatant of dives. Lowestoft regained control and should have equalised but a mishit shot that was drifting wide took a wicked deflection to give the urchins a 2-0 lead. Lowestoft were playing all the football with Hornchurch resorting to direct hoofs on probably the worst pitch in the league.

Hornchurch had their best spell as Lowestoft were left to rue their misfortune and it was soon 3-0 after the referee missed a bad foul on a Lowestoft player in the build up.

Overall Lowestoft can count themselves unlucky and I still believe they will be the team to finish above to win the league.

hahhahahahaahahahahahahahah that is the most ridiculous post i have ever had the misfortune to read

please visit http://www.lowestofttownfcfansforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/Forum/YaBB.pl to read actual views from Lowestoft fans who all admit they were outplayed and outpassed or perhaps visit http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum/gforum.cgi?post=375186;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;guest=56912829

which is a nice report from a ground hopper who obviously in your opinion has never seen a game before judging by your remarks...sour grapes and all that

No thanks. I read enough drivel from Hx fans on this forum as it at is. Im not going to go trawling through other forums to read how you won the attendance. How can you take 500 away yet cant even get 500 for a home game against a fellow title challenger on a bank holiday?

Speaking as a neutral I have been to watch Hornchurch twice this season and was amazed at the poor quality of their football. There are at least six teams in the RLN who are far better IMO, and if they really are title contenders I would imagine that most teams in Conference South can look forward to six easy points next season.

KLF thats a neutrals opinion. funny tho, but unless you see a team week in week out you can only judge on the one or two performances. We all know the league table doesnt lie and the team that finishes top will be there on merit.

Its not hard to look like a good team, when you're playing against tripe like Romford.

We played 2 conference south teams and beat them both.

A thread devoted to little old AFC Hornchurch on the Ricay forum, how pleasant.

We must obviously be bothering someone, but please don't all get too distressed,it's only football. But on the off chance you do want to throw yourselves off of beachy head,I run a very nice and cheap private hire car service.I can offer very competitive rates to east Sussex, after all,you will probably want to leave the family car to the missus for the school run. After you have flung yourselves off beachy head I can then pop along the coast to see my sister in Brighton,so everyones a winner. We also have 8 seaters just in case you wanted to share the costs between those who find Hornchurch' latest surge to the top too much.

As for you Alan (misunderstood ),you can go for free as it would be my pleasure watching you hurtle off the cliff at approx 50mph,you bitter twisted two faced old fool.

Happy new year everyone.

Actually it was a thread to my fellow Ricay followers giving an unbiased, neutral view of the game between the two closest teams beneath us. It was never about little old Hornchurch until it got hijacked by the urchin trolls who have nothing better to do than post on other teams forums all day.

I heard a rumour the other day that Hornchurch may not be able to go up because of their ground. Apparently, at the next level, you need an "unobstructed view" of the pitch from all areas of the ground. The hammer net at Hornchurch prevents this and a local by-law means the hammer area cannot be removed.

Brilliant...where do you think of this rubbish?

so far I've read on this forum that Hornchurch play rubbish football....would lose to atleast 6 sides in the ryman north....didnt deserve to beat Lowestoft and now cant go up because of a hammer net....seriously funny you lot

Blimey, you get more Hornchurch supporters on here than you do for their home games!

Good comeback that, especially as at each others last home games we had 21 more than you.
