Did we deserve to win? Yes, because the final ball in & our finishing was superb.(Kwesi in particular)

Did we play the better football? No we absolutely didn't.

Did we defend well? Yes we did.

Did we win the game on the break? Yes,definately.

 

Funny old game this.Despite preferring to see us play lovely attractive football, today was proof that playing good attractive football dosen't always win you games.Today was a perfect example of that.

3 points is 3 points nevertheless & onto Concord next Saturday,a team now having won 5 on the bounce & a team who are now scoring goals & not conceding many. A team on the up. A team to be very wary of.

Saturday is going to be a lot lot tougher than todays.

All credit to Hastings for the way they played the game.Their finishing however is poor (coupled with good defending interceptions) & that's why they are where they in the table are & why we are where we are.

Good turn out today & hope to see many more on Saturday.

 

Finally, well done to those players who tried something different from the kick off. Shame they took the SHORT kick too early though & it had to be retaken.The usal followed on the restart sadly.

Correction!! Concord have NOT won 5 on the bounce. However in their last 7 games they have won 5, drawn 1, lost 1. (Won 4, drawn 1 in their last 5).
