As a fence sitter, i must first congratulate town on a well deserved victory, a club i have grown quite fond of over the last couple of years. What i can't understand though,( EFC ) is that why bother entering a competition when u have no intention of fielding the strongest side available to u. again i acknowledge the fact that youth and reserves need the experience, but what did they gain out of the match last night. Down at the Manor we want to win evey game, we have youth & reserves like most clubs, but the first team would be up in arms if they were dropped in favour of a mixed side with hardly any experience, we know that success is not built over night, and that youth is the future of our game, but come on ( EFC ) a local derby like this, i would assume that the name of the game here would be to get one over on your neighbours and any player worth their salt would want to play, so field the strongest team, if u lose u lose, take it like men, and don't hide behind poor excuses. Totally agree with Eton Rifle about that. Eton Rifle where is this websote you lot keep promising? And will you please stop going on about how good Eton Manor are. You have had a few Ok results thats it. Everyone was pleased at first me including but now you keep going on about the same old rubbish. Just except you used to be hopeless and now your a bit better, thats it! n Lets not prentend to be something we are not.

Southport, U bet it will last,as for the comments from "NOWAY" we don't need to spout the same old rubbish, just watch what happens to the Manor over the next few seasons, we have people involved in the club who are securing the future financially, a new home ground is not very far away, and the web site will be online when it is spot on, there's no point doing it unless it's done properly.Manor is at last getting noticed and people want to know the answers to our recent success so lets revel in it and tell them all. Such is the impact, clubs are sending people to watch us prior to playing us, which in my book means that from being the whipping boys we are now gaining the respect of those around us. so don't knock it people, just get used to it because we're here to stay!!!!!!

Ok, guys maybe I can interject here if you don't mind Rifle. Being a penniless Eastender (all together Ahhh) I have called in a few favours from a couple of friends that are in the Web building business, and between their normal 9 to 5 they are helping put a site together for the Manor. So to answer the question I am hoping within the next week or so we shall be up and running. You can log on using either www.emfc.co.uk or www.etonmanorfc.co.uk both domain names have be purchased for the club. Sorry for any confusion.

 

Hope that answers your question NoWay about the Websote!! ohhh and incidentally NoWay don't knock the fact that we are proud of the recent results, I think if you check recent posts we have also been very complimentary about the teams we have played, I wont apologise for the few Manor boys on here that are ecstatic about the way the team is finally coming together, the guys doing the posting are part of the club, and understand the enormous effort going in to bring the club back to a half decent side!

 

By the way all ETFC boys & girls well done for a great result against EFC.
