i just hope that our management can instil in our team that there are no more easy matches this season no matter where the opposition is in the division, this is a mental mindset our players have to be in they have to be up for it whoever is in front of them , because sure as hell the opposition will be up to beat us , even more so now that we are top , always to give us a lesson in humility, yes pay them respect but not too much let us show them that we are where we are on merit and not just lucky (though i'm sure that we have had a bit of that too) and let them respect us for the standard of football that we play and that they the opposition would wish to aspire too.

All in all, job done, game ended as a contest when the red card was shown to Marlow's no. 7, we could have been further ahead by half time after a couple of scares early on! 2nd half, we went through the motions really!

I may start a row on here by saying this but the red card was harsh from where I was standing, both Seeby and their no.7 went in studs up, their no.7 was slightly late in the challenge but not horrendously late, if he hadn't had gone in with Seeby we could've been down to 10 men, a yellow would have sufficed! Marlow are not the worst team I've seen in this division and with a bit of confidence could get out of the trouble they are in!

Still 7 points clear, another win and clean sheet, Coyne MoM by a mile for me! Bring on Burnham and hopefully a Bedworth win or draw against St Neots!

COME ON YOU REBELS!

professional job by the lads getting a comfortable win against a Marlow side that started fairly well but who's confidence started draining once it went 1-0. had it not been for woeful shooting throughout Marlow could have at least picked up a consolation goal

we didnt play massively well but were always in control once their player was sent off. not totally sure if was correct or not. came at a time when Slough had been punished a few times for fouls on their keeper that were non existent costing us 1 seemingly good goal. at one point their keeper got a free kick for jumping onto and laying on Burnells back

good to see Seeby grab a goal he has been really good the last few games

glad that Burgess, Herron and Abbey got some game time though not much

all the main title contenders won so vital we at least matched them. Bedworth vs St Neots next weekend so Burnham is a hugely important game to get a win in

Definitely NBH who went in with the 7. NBH slid along the ground to win the ball and the seven jumped in with the studs showing which distinguishes the two. Think there may have been some afters as well. But was surprised that NBH didn't also get a booking as neither player needed to make the challenge.

We controlled the game and did what we needed to. Suspect Saturday will be much tougher.

think it was 3rd December vs Bedfont the last time 1 of our games ended 11 vs 11.

last 5 games:

Logie off vs Chalfont

Bedworth striker off

Swift off vs B SYCOB

Fleet Keeper off

Marlow 7 off

pretty mad. Burnham vs Slough is contender for a red card usually as well so run could continue

how many clean sheets have we got now this season?? must be more than the last 3 or 4 seasons combined by now

the red card was totally justified, nbh had made contact with the ball sliding along the ground fractionally before marlows #7 although both had studs showing the #7 reacted and tried to retaliate by getting up and attempting to kick nbh while he was trying to get up, if the retalliation had not taken place it was a yellow for both players, but it seems like the ref decided to punish the worse of the offenders only, some marlow supporters came past at half time saying they knew that their #7 was going to get sent off today before the kick off so perhaps there is some history there.

Some moderate scares, but a comfortable win where Slough did not put themselves out too much in the second half. Always feels harder against 10 men, and that helped keep the scoe down I think. For me mom was Seeby.

Good to see some friendly comments from rivals. Just a simple reminder how quickly things can change. Bedworth may be big for St. Neots but Burnham really take the biscuit when playing against Slough. I can only recall 2 wins and one of those was back in the 1970s.

"Another good win for you Slough boys today..The opposition finishing with 10 men again, when was the last time you played a game that finished with 11 on both sides..

Big game for us away at Bedworth next Saturday, need a win to keep on your coat tails"

Happy New Year

UP THE REBELS!
