pitch was looking very good yesterday when i finished marking it out......lets just hope it doesn't rain too much......but fingers crossed it will be ok

Chertsey's pitch usually comes thru a down pour so if a few games do get called off, you can always pop to Alwyns Lane for Chertsey v Fleet.

Being honest JJ, when I went to see you play recently the pitch didn't look that good. Does Chertsey have someone that works on it as ity was becoming a good pitch last season ?

the pitch had zero done on it during may, june and july. Not a single penny spent on it which is why we are now experiencing problems although drainage is not one of them. Im quite sure tomorrows game will go ahead although a little bit sticky!

 

We have plans to get some work done on it very soon through Nut250 and then hopefully a lot of work done on it during the off season! We trained off the pitch thursday and the pitch looked a lot better than in previous weeks!

Terrible rain in Surrey this afternoon so could easily see Mersthams pitch being unavailable for E&E.

Okay JJ not the type of pitch for football at the moment then ? Surprised you trained on the pitch Thursday night as it was teaming down where I was along with a gale force wind, that won't have helped ! Anyway good luck tomorrow.

didnt rain at all in Chertsey on Thursday although the wind was a bit strong which helps to dry the pitch out. We trained at the side of the pitch and did some sprinting work. Many teams i suspect gave their lads the night off but i dont believe in doing stuff like that. Every time you miss a session, you can never ever make that session up! Its all about training!
