Two Richard Halle headers ( 2m and 55m) and a peach of a volley by Rob Swaine (70m) saw Town win comfortably in front of a 429 crowd.

 

Harrow hardly threatened and I would imagine 3-0 was just about par.

 

Lack of goals from the strikers ande lack of creativity in midfield remains a worry but as long as we remain top, who cares?

A big win for us today. We were under pressure to get the result and we started as if we really meant business.

 

How the football gods must have laughed as the once maligned Richard Halle popped up with two goals - Fair play to him for putting himself in the right places to grab those goals.

 

I thought we created loads of chances myself. We could easily have been four or five up at half time. Unsurprisingly we weren't able to maintain our blistering start but we still had comfortably enough to win the game with Swainey netting an excellent third.

 

Some interesting selection decisions for Monday. Good character from the lads today - well done lads.

 

Come in you Blues!!

Played well today and did plenty enough against a very poor Harrow side.

 

Top of the league going into the New Year & you can't ask or anything more than that.

 

We've done so well to be where we are going into 2012 and I can't wait to see what the next 4 months has in store for us.

An early goal was a great start to the game and we probably should have had more than just one in the first half based on the chances created.

 

A much better performance than those turned in recently.

 

Fingers crossed for another win on Monday - its about time Bury were beaten!

Can we start every game to the end of the season like we did yesterday, granted harrow wasn't the best side we have played this season, but what a difference it makes when we get at teams close them down and make them hurry. To any players reading it does give us a better vibe behind the goal!

 

It was nice to see we was getting the ball out wide and putting crosses in, we now need to take that into Monday, please don't go back in our shell trying to play direct everytime.

 

Agreed it would be nice to see our forwards score, but goals are goals they get us the 3 points I don't mind!

 

Me personally saw the pride back in swainey which I felt he's been missing last few games (maybe due to injury) and I think the applause we gave the players and the players give us at the end, hopefully signalled the end of our bad spell and we can kick on from here fresh for 2012!!

 

 

Prediction for bury - Bury 1 - 3 Blues! Jay May hat trick please!!!

Great tempo from start to finish, much deserved three points. Good to see Halle giving people like me food for thought, and Swaines good looked so simple.

 

Fantastic response after Hornchurch performance. The team deserve to be where they are and if we only have half the adversity and injuries in the second half of the season as we did the first half then the I still honestly believe the boys can push on and get us out of this league!!

 

Well done on the first half now lets smash bury today and get 2012 off to a flyer. No pressure!!!
