Think we had enough chances to win this one but we failed to take any of them. Hockton had a free header in the first half that he put well over the bar. A good appeal for a penalty but no surprise we never got it as there were so many players in the refs view he couldnt have seen it. We cant use the ref as an excuse as we had other chances. We hit the bar in the 2nd half through Hockton.

their goal came after Ansell bought down their player who was running through. There were other blues defenders for their lad to beat but ansell took him out. The resulting free kick saw M'head tuck away a great free kick. Glen Jackson came on for JJ at half time (anyone know whats up with JJ?) after JJ had kept us in the game with 3 superb first half saves.

Our new number 7 (sorry forget his name but will be known as Whippett!) was the best player on the pitch and had a good shot saved in the first half. Amazingly the managment team took him off and in doing so took our most creative player. Marlon had a good game but for me he gets knocked off the ball too easily.

I didnt think we played too badly but we gave the ball away too easily, none of our back 4 want the ball, and we failed to take our chances. Luke just isnt good enough for this level, he looks too scared to tackle and still cant win a header, in his defence he did look a little sharper.

We are now getting cut off at the bottom of the league and its looking worse by the week.

I heard Cross say that JJ has pulled a hamstring, he thought the injury would recover in the 10 days before the next game. Baukham has hurt his back, that's why he didn't appear for the 2nd half, that may have been a blessing, he's not putting his foot in like say Hockton, and he really should be winning more headers. Maybe this back injury is troubling him more than we know.

I thought we did well enough to earn a point but for one basic defending and goalkeeping error which cost us the goal. We definately shaded it in the second half but in the end we looked as if we were starting to panic, which isn't good as we started to rush things.

What the answer is I dunno. I must metion that the chairman has been quiet for this season, no publicised (in the local "rags")words of support or derision for the position we are in or the manager, Justin. I did speak to him last night but wasn't in the position to ask his opinion as he was in the board room, entertaining. He looked quite happy and relaxed really (and nowt wrong with that), so maybe this is not a surprise to him or he is waiting for the decision on the new Ground before he comments or does anything.

I get this horrible feeling that in the background of the club there is this "treading" water or running things down situation and whatever is the future of the club will not sit well on the "supporters" idea of things. And if anything can be done, maybe it'll be too late to change the fortunes of the team this season.

Those reading this, please don't get me wrong. I love my club and I am not levelling any crticism on anyone, I just want Billericay Town FC to be successful and not disapear into the wilds of the Essex Senior League like some other supporters want. I have enjoyed the level of footie so far and the emotional ride each season brings.

Please can we have a reasonable, considered comment from an official about the future of the club to put all our minds at rest? That is all I ask.

gazza, i cant see we are going to be informed of anything. This was a major gripe last season and it wasnt listened to then. The chairman decided instead to have a swipe at all the supporters in his end of season speach at the end of the last game of last season.

In the last week we have heard the chairman state that the club is losing 50k a year and that its vital we have a new stadium to progress and yet we find ourselves rock bottom of the league in serious danger of relegation. Where exactly is the club? where are we going? is the chariman going to walk away if the new stadium bid fails?

We all know Rod reads this forum, how about you come on here rod and put it all straight before it gets out of hand like it did last season with accusations and rumours going all over the place.

firstly with regard to the game, i thought both sides created chances, unfortunately maidenhead took one of theirs and we couldnt take one of ours. overall i thought they shaded it but it could have gone either way. we were much better than saturday, which wasnt difficult but an improvement nonetheless.

i do think once the outcome of the enquiry is out things will become clearer. however in the meantime i would suggest that if anyone has any queries they speak to rod personally. he's normally available for a chat after the game (as he was last night) and whatever you think about the rights and wrongs of our current predicament if you ask a civil question you'll generally get a civil reply.

lets hope things improve before long

can i just say that, i personally would ask the chairman anything, but as last season proved, there are many people who will not and use this forum to build up gossip and abuse. my post above was simply to avoid this forum turning into a vendetta against the chairman and the club in general.

First half I think they shaded it, particularly on chances although Hockton did have a great chance with a free header. JJ kept us in it with some good saves. 2nd half we started well and created some decent openings. Then we fell for the sucker punch of the free kick, and thereafter heads went down and we started to fall apart a touch.
