Ref Off Ref - I can't remember whether it was you or Craig Bicknell who said that it would be a while before your lad displaced Jamie Bewick in the team as he has done no wrong this season and kept you in the FA Vase single handedly against Haringey & Waltham Development

jamie bewick is a propa man something you would no nothing about . after the new bradwell game this being his last game before he went of to canada for intense training for 4 months . then will prob be off to fight for our country .

Have to respect any person who dons the uniform for our Country. Good luck to him in Canada and where he'll be posted.

Britman - Well I work hand in hand with them so obviously I echo that, all I'm saying is that it's pretty convenient for Ref Off Ref's boy isn't it

Ref Off Off - I think my post might have been edited but all I was trying to get across was talk about being in the right place at the right time, Jamie Bewick leaves the Club on virtually the same day your boy passes a fitness test to resume playing

It has been no secret that Jamie Bewick was going to Canada,it's worked out perfectly for the club that Tom has been passed to start playing again by the medics. On another note, Ok Oadby have signed Matt Oakley, and i believe he will be allowed to play in the vase game, because he didn't feature for Exeter city in any of the cup games. If we get our heads right we can beat them. I can't wait to see the game.

My lad for your info Rhodes wasn't meant to be back until February, but given the circumstances and his own mind he answered the call.

I agree Jamie going away was circumstantial, but if you'd read my earlier post then you'd understand Tom was prepared to wait.

The question could be asked was it not circumstantial Tom's injury was what gave Jamie the chance almost a year ago???

Who knows, all I will say tho is nothing in your posts are praise or good wishes, instead you once again use my son who you've never met and has done you no harm as bait in order to get a bite from me, Rhodes that's sick, so sick and low....perhaps I should play your game maybe, taunt you about your sick Mother, about your missus and kids who saw you for what you were, yes, no???? Up to you Cliff

Ref Off Ref - Not at all, I wish your boy and Ampthill Town all the best for the remainder of the season particularly in the FA Vase, it's just that I can't help thinking of the 1982 European Cup Final between Aston Villa and Bayern Munich when Nigel Spink replaced Jimmy Rimmer and stole all the glory

This is what those in the appraisal business call the "praise sandwich". Say something/s nice but wrap it around a damning phrase and kick the appraisee in the bollix. A cheap shot and it's Rhodes trademark trolling m.o.

Anyway, half a season to go, that means that Ampthill's previous goalkeeper got them halfway, along with the rest of the team. RoR's son has the boots to fill and it will be all credit to him if he maintains the start he's got. Good luck to him!
