Lammas 0-1 Bedfont

I was banned for this game so was able to watch this feisty derby. It had everything! Nice to see Newby back playing and shanked a few to me!! Lammas started well and created chances at set pieces but was unable to score past the sports keeper who I thought was superb. Sports were quite quiet first half and didn't create much. At half time Lammas were probably the happier of the two teams. Second half sports came out firing but Lammas never!! The red card of Willmore didn't help Lammas as sports started create good chances. A defensive mistake from Lammas allowed Cookie to go on and fire into the bottom of the net. Lammas huffed and puffed but couldn't get threw the solid sports defence. Disapointing month for us with 3 defeats in 4 which leaves us fighting for 3rd now with Hartley and eversley! Bedfont promoted for me now along with guernsey!

hard luck dorking, I didnt go , no points but the score suggests a good effort, wait to hear.

actually I could probably guess the reports

from guildford

somehow guildford were 21 down at ht despite battering a poor dorking side for 45 mins, dorking restricted to two efforts whist the crap lino disallowed two good goals for guildford, sanity restored second half when our pressure paid off with two well taken goals past a poor dorking defence

from dorking

chicks had a well deserved 2-1 lead at half time despite playing hurdy in goal and bigjr at centre halfdue to last minute injuries and a train cancellation.. finally the pace caught up with the two u 13 full backs and somehow the referee played the full 90 minutes despite our young lads and guildford were awarded two debatable pens in the 93rd and 94th minutes.

looking forward to Jan when we will have a full squad with everyone being in bed by 7pm new years eve

why do i do it ?

becckers

I wasn't at the game, but was getting regular phone up-dates from various people.

One interesting call ended with the words......

"If City think they'll easily pinch the title from Windsor, they'd better start RE-THINKING !"

(Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ! Very interesting !)

i must admit city struggled in the first half against dorking ,who blagged a very soft looking penalty in the first half the cheat who won it had big smirk on his face ,dorkings second was well deserved after a good spell of play by the chicks ,but city had numerus chances in the first half hitting the woodwork twice despite playing poorly in the first half ,city came out in the second half looking a totally different side playing a flowing passing game ,the above poster probally didant relise we had a lot of regular players out today through suspension and being absent ,so city played a mixture of youth players and subs today ,had the likes of gibbs and gacheru been playing the chicks thumbling keeper woudnt of a stood a chance ,not bad for a bad day at the office ,and big well done to the youngters who played today

oi,

do you think your the only team with players missing ? craig duffell russell hartt martin smith, first three names on my team sheet every game, all missing plus three others.

daryl jeeves (17) ryan stewart (17) conor hider (17) if our keeper had not gifted two goals, who knows the outcome? rant over.

was at lammas verses sports today and have to agree with most of wots been said ,

very even first half with lammas looking dangerous at set pieces but afraid they have to adapt their tactics

as playing long balls against the best two centre halves and poss the best back five in the league is not gonna work,

and also they are a decent footballing side when they shorten their game but saying that sports always looked dangerous and mixed up there game very well, sports different side second half and upped there tempo which lammas struggled to deal with and there quality and fitness took control and could and should of won alot more comfortably imo . good game with some good battles on the pitch ,thoroughly enjoyed game .

Got to Say Well done to Windsor who i think are the best team Egham have played for a lot of years! Enjoyed watching the game with 800+ in the Ground. If they play like that every week they should win the League

thanks Egg&Ham for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the game, despite the result. Thought you guys played well in the first half, but the three quick goals in the second half killed it for you. Good luck for the rest of the season. Hope you got to enjoy the Hog Roast!

Hartley Vs Eversley today.

Hartley ran out well deserved winners.........eventually. for 40 minutes it was a fairly even affair without either side really troubling the keepers. Eversley looked a bit toothless when they discovered that Kleboe wasn't winning a single header all day against the Hartley centre back Paterson and Baker was disinterested. from the 46th minute onwards it was hartley exposing the eversley back 3 time and again and as another poster has suggested, it could have been worse.

Hartley are poor at full back and big jermaine can only really play with his back to goal so if eversley had played with some width today they would have at least troubled the hartley keeper a little and wouldnt have too much to worry about but alas they played narrow and got caught out of position.

be surprised if either of these teams was to go up.

Thanks. I'm probably not much of a judge but my impression is that the side we are playing now might well be on a par with the team that Windsor & Eton had in the Top 8 of the Southern Premier last season before folding, so yes, if we carry on in the current vein of form, I guess we should win the league comfortably.

But, as my Granny used to say, there's many a slip between cup and lip, so there are no chickens being counted anywhere near Stag Meadow.

And I have been told that I am a pretty crap judge.... ;)

Nice one Mewey!

Did you find it easy/quick to edit in iMovie? Thinking of getting a Mac as i'm sick of this PC and I believe you have the same camera as me.

Why does it slow down the soundtrack so much compared to the video? Sounds like a herd of cows awaiting milking :)

I used to use Movie Maker on Windows. It took hardly any time at all to adjust to iMovie and it feels a LOT better. It keeps your clips (loaded from the camera) in a separate view so you can drag the ones you want to your edit and adjust as required. It then highlights the clips you have used, so you can tell what is left over! Very neat. The usual drag 'n' drop of transitions and titles. Job done!

It feels a lot less fiddly than the ribbon-oriented view of Movie Maker.

Summary: I much prefer iMovie.

Not sure about the soundtrack: That's just the default behaviour when slowing a clip down 50%. Did not fiddle with it much.

Apologies surber if I missed any particular bits you were after. I was chatting away during most of the second half rather than concentrating on filming.
