There was also another speech from another on our behalf but I forget his name. I think he too was a politician/councillor but I'm not sure on that one. Maybe someone can confirm or correct me on his status.

So the maximum net loss of open space is a mere 2% for car parking(if actually required )

 

In fact-would the re-instatment of the scrub/nursey/wasteland/eyesore land in fact be a greater area than that taken up by the 3G pitch.

 

Would in fact-upon completion-more new open space area become available to the community than there is there now ?

My thoughts on the meeting. The eloquence, sincerity and content of the two MFC speeches was exceptional and to the point.

 

The flat delivery of the few words offered by what seemed to be a very reluctant legal representative of the objectors, who really said nothing, would have disappointed those he said he represented.

 

As for, i believe, the nursery jumping on the" lets return the council plant nursery back to use" bandwagon, well that was just bad form and I hope the council see through it.

 

Lets hope 5th January brings a positive result for the club and of course all of Thanet who will benefit from this tremendous facility.

Might be an idea for the club to make a written vow that it would never seek to use any more of the park in the future. That might allay any fears that we could, over time, seek to take over the park piecemeal.
