latest I have heard Colney player sent off then a home fan attacked him and it all kicked off 3 players sent off. Now if a spectator from the home side did that i wont be calling the Colney lads thugs more like well done to them for standing up for their team mate. Sport kicks off sometimes it aint that bad come watch Gaelic football in ruislip in the summer months you will regularly get 30 men brawls and everyone will have a drink after lol

From another's Forum

New Bradwell St Peter 0 - 2 Ampthill Town

SSML Div 1

Admission £2 including programme

I was pleased to see the SSML programme today, as it offered my only chance of a game over the Christmas break. Made my way to MK for a first visit to this club. The last time I watched Ampthill was in their UCL days in the 70s.

The car park here is pretty small, so I parked out on the road - by the end of the game the car park was packed, with lots blocked in, so was glad I did.

No turnstile entry here, just walked into the ground. Programmes were sold by a bloke on the touchline who I noticed just before kick off. Stood under the cover for the game, although the afternoon was reasonably mild.

The game wasn't great, although Ampthill were always the better side. Closest we got to a goal in the first half saw a Town header hit the post, but HT was reached at 0-0.

Town kicked down the slope in the second half and took the lead about 10 minutes in. Again they had the best of the play, but Bradwell always looked capable of pulling the goal back until a very late penalty secured the win for the visitors.

I was at Coles Park this afternoon. Poor first half but HB improved in second period. They have a very strong side this season. Impressed with a few of their players. HTFC didn't really trouble the home keeper.

Full match highlights and a report will be on the cold end (hopefully when I get time) tomorrow night.

BUFC - mmmmm strange one, 2-0 is not really a flattering scoreline. On chances, AFC had 4 gilt edged one's in the 1st half and 3 more in the 2nd plus scoring twice. AFC keeper only had one save to make all afternoon and not many more shots on target. Saying that though, it was a tough game and Biggleswade showed why they have picked up 3 wins on the bounce. As you Chairman remarked after the game, you were not clinical enough in the last 3rd.

It doesn't sound like Ampthill Town had it all their own way yesterday and it wasn't a walk in the park

PREMIER DIVISION

4-0 Tring Athletic v Hertford Town

DIVISION ONE

4-0 Kings Langley v London Colney

Two reports from another's Forum, strangely no mention of the problems at Kings Langley:

12 Noon

Spartan South Midlands League Div 1

Kings Langley 4-0 London Colney

Admission £4 incl programme

Att: 130

Decent game which saw the league leaders comprehensively stuffed. Whilst Kings Langley deserved the win, 4-0 was harsh on them and the goals came in 2 spells of 2 in 3 minutes.

Decent set up with a small stand and seats at the bottom of a grass bank, which if you stood at the top and to the left of the stand, for train anoraks everywhere, when the Virgin Pendolino trains went passed which they did quite frequently you could see them in full tilt.

Very friendly club who went out of their way to make everyone welcome and seemed delighted at the end, not only with the win but the crowd and the amount of food we all consumed

12 minutes from the end of the game the Splodgemobile had found its way to

Spartan South Midland League Premier Division

Tring Athletic 4-0 Hertford Town

Admission £5

Programme £1

Att: 94 (h/c)

Tring were too quick in mind and foot for Hertford throughout, in the 1st half using the slope which they were kicking down very well indeed. 2 goals in each half were more than enough to see of the visitors.

The ground is right next door to the well signposted Pendley Manor just off the A41 and whilst all the buildings are made of wood to fit in to the area, they are not new, only having been put up in last 10 years following a fire which helped kill the old Tring Town off. Stand on the halfway line and cover with a few seats behind the bottom end goal.

Excellent large clubhouse which had 3 Tring Brewery beers for sale - the sidepocket went down very well.

Afterwards decided to avoid the M25 and went X-country through Chesham-Beaconsfield-Slough-Windsor before hitting the M3 and arriving at Hamble just before 7pm and I'll leave it to someone not involved with one of the competing clubs to write about it.

Berko 0-4 Royston

Outclassed completely, seems to have become normal for Berko to perform this badly and its not nice to watch. not sure what has happened lately but i make that 6 losses on the spin and to be honest i cant see where the next win will come from at the moment. Royston got at Berko from the start scoring early and never let up, throw in some eccentric goalkeeping from the reserve keeper and the softest own goal iv seen and that was the first half, second half was not much different with Berko offering nothing except Royston only added 1 more goal from a great set piece, just surpised we lost by only 4 goals.
