Guys,

On behalf of the club I thank you for your kind words. When we can get ourselves together we will no doubt issue an official statement but at the moment our club is a very wretched place indeed. All day the ranch has been packed with people who just wanted to be there. A place that was so close to Tony's heart.

We are a very close club and Bussy was the best of us. To lose this wonderful man at the age of 54 has deeply effected a lot of people, none more than our 1st team squad, the majority of which Bussy brought to the club as part of our youth teams.

Thanks again for your kind words, and for the untold number of people that have contacted the club regarding arrangements, we will ensure that you all are made aware of the details as soon as we have them....... PROUD. NO APOLOGIES!

Firstly I would like to offer my own,as well as my club Badshot Lea's condolences, to the Buss family as well as everybody connected to Hanworth Villa FC. It is at times like this the football community at our level come together and regardless of what club you are connected to you all feel the hurt of such a loss. I only met Tony a couple of times myself but reading what has been said on here you can really see the respect that everyone had for him. RIP Tony.

From all at Knaphill our condolences and thoughts are with Tony family and friends, I don't think I ever met Tony, but from the amazing tributes on this forum he's sounds like a great man that will be sorely missed.

R.I.P. Tony.

  • 2 weeks later...

tony's funeral will be on monday the 9th jan at 2-20pm at hanworth crematorium

Been a bit of a change Foxy,

Due to the number of people that want to attend we have had to change to the larger chapel. This in turn has meant the time has now changed to 9:20.

I know this is really tardy but I can only echo the sentiments expressed in response to this awful news. I've not checked this site recently so I missed the original posting and only spotted it just now. I am sure that other Sarnies join me in acknowledging the hard work done by Tony and his family at Hanworth Villa, and understanding what a big loss this is for all concerned. I am sure that Villa will be even more fired up for the game at our place tomorrow.
