Beaconsfield v Slough Town

Looking forward to it, I've just recently convinced the missus (Palace diehard) that there's some decent football to be seen outside the glamourous world of the 'league'.

What would a Palace fan know about decent football?!! Hope you enjoy your visit to Holloways Park anyway :)

That's probably a question better directed at Sir Alex Ferguson don't you think?

Hi David Davidson Davies, hope you enjoy the game boxing day and just letting you know all floating fans are welcome to support Beaconsfield on the day, allthough we are at home we will be heavily outnumbered by the Slough fans so any extra support is welcome, I thank you - C'MON YOU RAMS !

Nothing extra to what you'll see for just about every match on the clubs twitter feed:

So whilst it will be nice, it's not adding a great deal to the excellent service the twitterers already provide on behalf of the club week in, week out.

Thanks for the lovely plug there Gaz. It will be business as usual on Boxing Day with updates on Twitter for Slough fans far and wide who can't make the big game. COYR and Merry Christmas everyone.

I should be going to this. Realistically, I can't afford to attend 2/3 Football League games over the Christmas period and this one promises to be a feisty encounter. Is there any animosity between SYCOB and STFC owing to the ground-share or is it strictly a divisional/top of the table (at the moment) rivalry?

Just been outside and it's a perfect day for football. Reasonably bright, not too cold and little wind (not counting yesterday's Brussels sprouts and stuffing!!).

My concern is the pitch - I don't suppose SYCOB would have gone out of their way to make it a decent surface for us to play on when they rely on hoofing it long.

COME ON YOU REBELS!!!!!!

wouldnt say their really is a history of rivalry between the clubs but of course the ground share and league positions make it a MASSIVE game for both teams

im assuming there is no issue with the pitch etc and the match will definitely be on??
