Fair play to the EFC fans, there were very few of them but they sang up well (in the first half anyway). "Enfield Town is a railway station" was a good one. Though someone near me was doing "not bad for a train station" to the tune of Go West when the 4th goal went in.

As it happens this is the 3rd game i have seen EFC play in enfield this season as they played two pre season games at the riverside in turkey st. I think you will find they also played a game at enfield rangers.

you keep digging that hole. The point is wouldn't you prefer to watch your team play on a regular basis, in their home town.

Or are you happy seeing them do a Wimbledon? So how far would you go to watch EFC; 70 miles north ?

Well done to ETFC for their win. A well organised event which went off without any problems. I was wary that some idiots might come down who had no background with either club after the media 'frenzy'and cause some trouble at the EFC end but as hoped no problems there. Great to see and talk with loads of people I haven't seen in ages.

On another note Whether we put out the first team or not is irrelevent you won and as you say this will go down in the record books. However think back to those far off days when you were EFC supporters how much notice of the Middlesex Charity Cup did you take then? I had never heard of it apart from that year when Russell Grant hired Wembley Stadium for the final. I never had any complaints when we put out a low strength side in the Senior Cup either. You knew before hand what to expect and that was the same here.

Finally in both our cases the league is far more important than any cup this season. So good luck to all supporters of both sides. I might come along to Felixstowe if you don't beat them on the vase first time round.

Speaking of the sending off, what did their number 6 actually do? I only noticed the incident after the referee had stopped play, and saw the two players squaring up to each other.

Also, would like to say that the referee was easily the best we have had all season - by a long way too.
