And I am sure that come the last game of the season, VPCTFC would be more than happy to have nothing riding on Camberley's home game with us.

 

I'm used to that. Last time we had anything riding on the last game of the season was in 1998 in Ryman 3. We were away to Harlow. We had to win and Hertford had to lose for us to get promoted. We drew 2-2, Hertford won so we finished fourth. Since then it's been a series of end of season friendlies. I remember one particularly bad one at Merland Rise against Epsom a couple of years ago.

 

I hadn't thought about the last game of this season but now you mention it, if strange things do happen and it's between Camberley and Windsor for the title it'll be a corker. I'll be the biggest bag of nerves I've ever been at football. If you've already won the title it'll be gutting seeing you presented with the championship trophy at our place but that's something we'll have to deal with. If Guildford or someone else have already won the title then it'll be another end of season friendly. Until then though, one game at a time.....

[Don't Blame Me]

From a purely personal perspective, I would love it to go to the last game of the season. As I live in Camberley nothing could be sweeter. A big crowd, nerves a-jangling and a chance to sample real ale in your clubhouse again. But, as you say, one game at a time.

 

What I have noticed is that there are some really juicy fixtures on the 2nd and 7th January. What a season this is turning into.
